EWallet 7.3 for iOS Released
May 2nd, 2012 by Ken
We’re happy to report that eWallet® 7.3 is now available in the App Store for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The main new feature in this release is the built-in support for iCloud. If you have a device running iOS 5, you can enable iCloud Sync, which not only backs up your wallet files to iCloud, but also makes it possible to seamlessly sync with another iOS device without having to go through a PC or Mac first. eWallet 7.3 for iOS requires at least iOS 4 and the iCloud support requires iOS 5. To get started, just press the cloud icon in eWallet and then turn on “Enable Cloud Sync”. We’ve heard from some customers that they don’t want their wallets stored in the cloud; that’s fine too, the new iCloud feature is completely optional.

We’ve been getting great ideas and feedback about other features people would like to see in eWallet — thank you and keep them coming!

Get all the info about eWallet here on our site.

eWallet for Mac 7.3 Update
March 12th, 2012 by Ken
Not too long ago when we released the 7.3 update for Windows PC, we promised a new Mac version as well. We’re happy to report that the new Mac version of eWallet® is now available in the Mac App Store. This new version has a ton of new features but I’ll outline the major ones here:

Live search — search is always available now, so finding your cards is very fast
Clipboard — Can now copy/paste encrypted cards both within and between wallets
Category information — added to search results and recent cards list for better context
Password generator — for building high quality passwords quickly and easily to your specifications
Printing support — print your whole wallet or a selection
This upgrade is free for all users who already own a license of eWallet version 7 for the Mac. If you purchased a copy from Apple using their Mac App Store, then you’ll be able to use the Update feature in that store to get the new version. Get all the info about eWallet here on our site.

eWallet GO! update for Windows Phone 7
March 9th, 2012 by Ken
Microsoft has released major upgrade for Windows Phone 7 , code named “Mango” (7.5). The 7.5 release has a ton of new features; you can read more about them on the “What’s New” page. We wanted to build a new version of eWallet GO!® that that would take advantage of some of these new features and this week we released a new version (1.7) to the Marketplace. The major changes to the new version include:

Search — you can now quickly search through all your cards for the information you are looking for
Tiles — now you can pin your favorite cards to the start menu so eWallet GO! opens directly to those cards
Fast application switching — allows users to switch quickly between eWallet GO! and other running applications
Trial version — Microsoft has made it pretty darn easy to add a trial version in Marketplace so we threw that in too!
This upgrade is free for all users who already purchased a license for eWallet GO! in Marketplace (the upgrade requires Windows Phone 7.5). If you don’t already have the release, you can get it using the link below, or simply search for eWallet GO! on your Windows Phone 7 device.

eWallet for Android
December 13th, 2011 by Ken
We’re happy to announce that by popular demand, we’ve developed and released a full version of eWallet® for the Android platform. In April 2010 we released the eWallet Viewer for Android which let people read, but not change, their eWallet data directly on their Android phone. You’ve made it clear you want to edit as well without using a PC so as of today, we’re replacing the Viewer with this new editable version.

Some of the features (in addition to editing), include:

Secure storage for passwords, usernames, PINs
Strong 256-bit AES encryption
Secure storage for bank and credit card info
Time-out locks to keep your info safe
Live URLs that launch the websites you know, without the dangers of phishing emails or typing errors taking you elsewhere
We hoped to make eWallet on Android completely free for existing Viewer users but apparently the Android Market doesn’t allow for a free app to later become a paid app. So, we decided to do the next best thing: for a limited time, the eWallet for Android will be available for 99 cents (in the U.S.).

A big thank you for all your support over these last fourteen years – and keep the feedback coming, we’re always happy to hear from you.

Update: January 3, 2012, the special pricing is now over; Android pricing is now similar to prices on our other mobile platforms.

So I’ll caveat this up front by saying that there might be a little voodoo math going on here; however, be that as it may it’s still good food for thought. In short: Diablo 3, as of today (5/25/2012) has now hit 6.3 million in sales. Quite impressive! Huge congratulations going out to all my [...]

Translation and Localization, Too Overcomplicated?!
By Nabil Freij (7 posts) on May 22, 2012 at 9:14 am
Comments (3)
Not all translation service buyers have the same needs. Requirements differ depending on where companies are in their global evolution. With varying needs and priorities, and a massive selection of translation service providers estimated to exceed 20,000 independent vendors worldwide and growing, how do you decide who to choose?
Some companies elect to come up with elaborate RFPs. These RFPs frequently contain exhaustive details to help differentiate between, and narrow down, suitable vendors. But often these RFPs are very time consuming to create, respond to and analyze, potentially overcomplicating the process.
The mere fact that the translation service industry is so fragmented fashions the need to overcomplicate matters. After all, companies want to create differentiators to claim a competitive edge.

Google+ for Business: Hype or Helpful?
By Wendy Thomas (16 posts) on May 17, 2012 at 1:38 pm
Comments (0)
With so many social media options out there, and with more on the horizon every day, it’s a challenge to know whether your business can benefit from any of them or not.
Google+ is one of the new guys, and there are mixed reviews so far. If you’re already using Twitter and Facebook and getting good results, then you might not want or need another avenue right now. If you’re new to social network platforms and still working on goals for what you want to accomplish, Google+ should be thrown into the mix.
Google+ ties several Google products that serve businesses together. One point especially worth noting is that with Google being a top search engine in the world, public posts made on Google+ automatically rank higher than any others in a Google search. What’s not to like about that?

Effective B2B Lead Generation Doesn't Sell Your Product
By Kevin Murphy (15 posts) on May 16, 2012 at 10:11 am
Comments (0)
In the world of B2B marketing, there are three kinds of prospects:
1. Those in the last stage of the buy cycle and in the process of evaluating solutions.
2. Individuals with a pain or a problem that's big enough to take action to solve, but who are beginning to look around for information on possible solutions.
3. People just beginning to realize there's a problem, but the pain is not yet big enough to take action to solve.
When your company develops a product, its purpose is to provide a solution to a known problem. The thinking is, "Companies have this problem, so we'll create a solution that they'll jump on." It is logical, from that point of view, to focus all your marketing on selling the product.
Unfortunately, the only prospects this approach attracts are those that fall into category #1 -- completely missing those who are beginning their research or are just beginning to see a pain point. To generate the maximum number of leads in marketing efforts -- to build a long-term pipeline of potential buyers -- B2B marketing must reach all three groups.

A HAPPY ENDING

A happy ending I have the utmost respect for the Vietnamese people. If you've ever been to get a pedicure, you do as well. God bless anyone who will spend an hour scrubbing, scraping and exfoliating people's feet for a living. A friend and I treated ourselves to such a pedicure yesterday afternoon. It was a place that I haven't been to in a long while. They are all pretty standard with their massage chairs that have the little foot tubs beneath them. You just climb in the chair and relax and let those amazing people do their work. I quickly found, however, that this chair had a special feature I'd never experienced before. Just as I settled in, a large object protruded up through the seat....to massage by bum. Shocking to say the least, I arched my back to get away from the "thing" intruding on my personal space. I immediately thought of the many oriental massage places I've heard of before that provided a "happy ending" and ultimately the demise of their business. Between that and the extremely sensitive tickle spots on my feet, I laughed a lot providing more stress relief than the $30 I paid for.

INJUSTICE

Injustice There is such and ebb and flow to life itself that you don't recognize until you're older. A baby is born, someone passes away. It's traumatic and yet it's completely normal. It's the way things work. It's the people in the middle of the process that just get me. It boggles my brain. There is a woman in Doctor's Hospital in Augusta who is literally being eaten to death by a flesh eating virus. She is young and educated...did all the right things and now she sits in a hospital in a condition I cannot imagine where she is losing her leg and both her hands and maybe more. How is it ok for her to die slowly and painfully while the convicts sitting in jail who have committed many atrocities are allowed to live? How is it right? They tought something Sunday at church concerning the human brain. Although mechanically, we use 100% of our brain, our thought processes, functions and mental capacity only accesses up to 10%. It was explained best in an article I read as the volume on the stereo being turned to 2 instead of 8 or 10. The potential is there...it's just not utilized. We also talked about how, when God made us, we had 100% use of our brains. We understood everything God did. However, the introduction of sin into those brains made it so we were capable of such a level of evil it would be detrimental to our own kind. Thus, we only access a small portion of what we have the potential for. Not being a neuroscientist or truly understanding how the brain functions at all, it's hard to "wrap my brain" around the brain in general. I do know that there are days when answers seem just out of reach. When I realize that situations can look very different depending on perspectives and that there is a big picture of which I do not always care about. In the end, when we reach heaven and we again have the knowledge of God, when our brains are at 100% capacity and the big picture is revealed, I hope I understand why there was so much injustice in a world where I'm told there is a just God.
